Cousin Weekend 2010!

It was a very very busy weekend with all the cousins in Hastings!  Ryan and Sandi were at WE Fest, Mike was at a cabin with the guys and Eric, well the usual...working in the garage!  Kristi, Owen, Danna and Cole spent the weekend at Granny Nanny and Grandpa Dave's.  We had lots of plans with so little time, some how we fit most of it in!  It was a fun weekend and the kids got along great!

Gabby Turns 2!

Pool Fun!

One of our favorite summer activities has been swimming!  We are very lucky to have a pool right next door at Grandma and Grandpa Bauer's house to use at any time.  Grandpa Geno keeps the water nice and warm for the little ones!  Will is getting to be such a good little swimmer and jumper!  He really likes it when Collin comes to hang out too, they sure are a pair!  Hopefully we have many more summer days to enjoy at the pool!

Antique Power Show!

On Saturday night we made our way to the Antique Power Show!  We walked around the grounds looking at tractors, fire trucks, tankers and much more!  Collin and Will had a blast running around and being silly!  We ended the night with the tractor pulls! The boys had so much fun and can't wait for next years show!

Rivertown Days 2010!

Saturday night we met Granny Nanny and Grandpa Dave down by the river.  The plan was to grab a bite to eat, hit the carnival for a few rides, listen to the band, and watch the fireworks.  Well the rain held off for us to do about half of that!  We decided we better hit the rides right away or we might have one sad 2 1/2 year old if it starts to rain.  The cars were the favorite...weird I know!  Will and Eric played the fishing game and won a blue squirt gun and a green Alien thing that Will thinks is pretty cool.  It started to rain just as our tickets ran out!  Rain and all we headed over to the food stands...guess what no waiting in lines!  We found a covered tent behind one of the vendors and took turns running out in the rain for food.  Cheese curds, pizza, french fries, meat pie, and a gyro...all pretty darn good too!  They announced a heavy storm was heading our way and that fireworks would be cancelled. So we wrapped up our quick trip to Rivertown Days and headed home.  Maybe better weather next year!

Back to the Cabin!

Yep...that's right!  We were back at the cabin this past weekend!  This time it was all work and no play...well for Eric, Mike and Grandpa Geno that is! Friday night they worked until the stars came out and Saturday morning they were back at it by 6:30 AM!  Hopefully the neighbors didn't mind too much!  While the big boys worked hard in the heat the little boys played hard all day long!  By the end of the day everyone was very exhausted and in need of some serious showers and baths!  Good work guys!

Water Balloons!

Another hot and humid day!  Perfect weather for a water balloon fight!  The kids thought it was great!  I must have filled well over 100 tiny balloons for them to toss around.  The balloons were so slippery they could barely hang on to them with their little hands!  Sure is funny how a $2.00 bag of balloons can create hours of fun!

Happy 4th of July!

We are on our way to the cabin to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Bauer.  We are hoping to relax on the boat, catch a little sun during the day and a firework display at night!  Wishing everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July!
